What is an Inventoriable Material?

An Inventoriable Material is one which is consumed directly in the production of your products. For a handmade business, this will be the majority of your materials that you deal with on a day-to-day basis.

Examples of Inventoriable Materials:

Fabric, Oil, Chain, Paint, Metal, Wood, Snaps, Buttons, Flour, Butter

Inventorial materials hold a quantity and value that is increased and decreased by stock changes.

When an Inventoriable Material is added via an Expense, your total Inventory Value will be increased.

When an Inventoriable Material is used in a Manufacture, your total Inventory Value will be decreased.
