About locations
Locations track finished products only. The Locations feature is designed for finished products — it lets you track stock across physical spots like market booths, retail shelves, or consignee locations. If you want to record where a raw material is stored in your workspace, see About material BIN locations instead.
Summary
Locations let you track your finished product stock across multiple physical places — for example, your home studio, a market stall, or a consignee's shelf. Each location can hold product stock, receive transfers, and be assigned to orders so your inventory figures stay accurate no matter where you're selling from.

Finding a list of all locations
To find a list of all locations:
- Hover your mouse over the ⋮ menu in the top navigation bar
-
Select Locations from the list that appears

Assigning a location to an order
Sales made from consignments can be tracked by assigning a location to an order. This reduces the available stock and increases the sold count for that location.
To assign a location when adding a new order:
- Go to your Locations page
- Hover your mouse over the ⋮ menu next to the location you want to record a sale for
-
Select Add Order from the options — the order form will open with the location pre-filled.

For an existing order, edit the order and use the Location search field to assign a location.
Finding all products currently consigned to a location
To see a report of all products at a specific location:
- Go to your Locations page
- Click on the location name to open its detail page
-
Open the ⋮ menu to the left of the title and click Product Report

Finding all current locations for a product
To see a list of locations where a specific product is currently consigned:
- Go to your product or variation detail page
-
Click on the Locations tab

- A list loads showing all locations where your stock has been transferred and the current stock level at each.
Creating a pricing tier for a location
Pricing tiers can be set for any location — useful when your prices differ between consignees.
To set a pricing tier for a location:
- Go to your Locations page
- Select the location you want to configure
- Click the Edit button on the right-hand side
-
On the form, select the tier from the Pricing Tier dropdown

- Click Save Location
New pricing tiers can't be added from the Location form. To add a new tier, see How do I add a new pricing tier?
What about raw materials?
Locations are for finished products only. Craftybase does not support tracking raw materials across multiple locations.
If you want to record where in your workspace a raw material is stored — for example, which shelf, bin, or room — use the material BIN location feature instead. A BIN location uses three fields (Zone, Section, and Position) to describe the exact storage spot for a material on its own record. You can use one, two, or all three fields depending on how detailed you want to be.
Material BIN locations are available on the Studio plan and above. See About material BIN locations for setup instructions.
FAQ
Can I assign more than one location to a single order?
No — only one location can be assigned per order. If items in a sale came from different locations, split the order into separate orders and assign each to the correct location.
If the order was imported from a sales channel, create separate orders manually for each location, then delete the original to avoid duplicates and keep stock deductions accurate.
Can I move raw materials between locations?
No. Transfers move finished product stock between locations. Raw materials don't use the Locations feature — they have their own BIN location field for recording storage spots, but this is a label only and doesn't affect stock tracking.
