Candlemaking Manufacture Workflow Examples
A series of diagrams for candlemakers showing common manufacturing flows that can be implemented into Craftybase.
Basic candle manufacturing workflow
This diagram shows the simplest manufacturing flow for a candlemaking process, where the base materials are combined together via manufacturing into a soap product. The wax, container and wick can be combined together into a recipe for the candle product for use on future batches, or alternatively, they can be added directly to the manufacture.
Handling different sizes
For a situation where you create multiple sizes from the same bulk batch of wax, you can create a component for the wax mix batch then manufacture each size variation separately. This allows you to maintain your candle batch recipe in a single place.
This flow demonstrates how you can use components to handle any packaging steps required to complete your product. Note, any specific packaging for shipment (bubblewrap etc) should be handled outside of the manufacturing process in Craftybase.
This workflow shows how to best handle any processing / manufacturing sub-steps that occur before you make your base candle block. The beeswax is a component as it is created from honeycomb. This is then combined with the wick and container to produce the candle product.
Creating bundles / sets of your products
In this example, we demonstrate how to create a situation where you need to bundle different candle products together. Both the Lemon candle and Rose candle is manufactured as a component so that they can be either sold individually or as part of a set.
