Attaching a file to a purchase
Learn how to attach a file to a purchase order.
Keeping track of receipts, invoices, and vendor documents is one of those things that's easy to lose on top of. Attaching files directly to your purchases in the app means everything is in one place — no hunting through email or folders when you need them.

Types of files you can store
You can store:
- Receipts
- Vendor information
- Anything you need to include for the purchase order
Adding a file to a purchase
To attach a file to a purchase:
- Go to Purchases in the main menu.
- Choose your purchase from the list. You'll see a Purchases > Purchase #XXX breadcrumb at the top of the page confirming which purchase you're on.

Click +Add in the Attachments section.

- Enter a description, choose your file, then click Save Attachment.
Viewing a file
To view an attached file without downloading it:
- Go to the Attachments section of the purchase page.
- Click the eye icon (View) next to the attachment name.
The file opens inline in your browser for preview.
Downloading a file
To save a copy of an attached file to your computer:
- Go to the Attachments section of the purchase page.
- Click the down-arrow icon (Download) next to the attachment name.
The file saves to your computer's default download location.
Removing a file
To remove an attachment from a purchase:
- Go to the Attachments section of the purchase page.
- Click the Remove link (trash icon) next to the attachment name.
- Click OK to confirm the removal.
Get help
If you're having trouble attaching a file to a purchase, check that it's in a supported format (PDF, Microsoft Word, PNG, GIF, JPG, CSV, or STEP) and does not exceed the 100MB file size limit.
