About material low stock limits

Materials can have a "low stock limit" set, which will then be used to determine if the material is marked as low stock.

This lets you see materials that need reordering before you run out of them.

To set the low stock limit for a material:

  1. Go to your Materials page and select the material you wish to set a low quantity limit. (See how to locate your Materials page)
  2. Click the Edit button.
  3. On the form that appears, find the Low Stock Limit field and enter the number you wish to set.

  1. Click the Save button to apply the changes.

FAQ

Will Craftybase send notifications when my materials reach the low stock limits?

At the moment, Craftybase does not send automatic notifications when materials reach their low stock thresholds. However, you can set low stock limits on both products and materials and view anything that has fallen below those limits in the following places:

  • Your Materials list page.
  • The individual Material detail pages
  • The Overview dashboard, where we summarize how many materials are low or out of stock.

Can I have materials without a low stock limit?

Craftybase requires a Low Stock Limit to be entered for each product, material, or component in order to display visual low stock indicators. However, if you'd prefer not to use this feature for certain items, you can simply set their Low Stock Limit to "0".

Setting the limit to zero disables the visual low stock warning for that item, while still allowing you to track inventory normally.
