April 2026 — What's New?

A round-up of what we shipped in April. A couple of new options on recipes, a few plan-tier changes worth knowing about, and a refreshed look across more than a dozen pages.

New & improved

Production capacity, at a glance. Product pages now show a potential quantity indicator — how many of a product you could make right now from your current materials. Useful for planning the next batch, and for answering "do I have parts for this?" without doing the maths yourself.

Fractional manufacture batches on recipes. Recipes now accept batch quantities below 1, so you can record half-batches, third-batches, and other partial runs without manually scaling every ingredient. Handy for testing a new product or making a small one-off.

Copy Product brings everything along. Copying a product now also copies its non-default variations and their recipes, not just the default variation. One click duplicates the whole product setup.

Annual billing on Shopify-billed accounts. If your subscription is billed through Shopify, you can now switch to an annual cycle from Subscription settings — matching what's been available to direct-billed accounts for a while.

Refreshed look

April was a big month for visual polish. We refreshed the layout on more than a dozen detail and list pages — everything looks cleaner, denser, and more consistent across the app:

Detail pages: orders, items, products, variations, item lots, stocktakes, transfers, accounting activities, and a clutch of settings pages.

List pages: item adjustments, product adjustments, purchase line items, measurement units, pricing tiers, and Users.

Smaller touches: standardised table-link styling on every migrated page, tighter spacing on Orders index status icons (Paid / Made / Sent), and a styled tooltip popup replacing the browser default.
