About Production Deadlines
Production Deadlines allow you to set a specific date for when manufacturing should be completed to meet expected stock levels or delivery dates.
This feature is available for INDIE + plans.
Switching on Production Deadlines
To use the Production Deadlines feature, you'll firstly need to switch this on in your account settings.
Here's how to do this:
- Go to your Account Settings.
Look for the Track Production Deadlines? Checkbox and ensure it is checked.
- Scroll to the bottom of the page and click the Save button.
Setting a Production Deadline for a Manufacture
Once you have switched on Production Deadlines, when adding or editing a manufacture:
- Scroll down to the field on the form called Production Deadline
- Enter a valid date into this field
- Click the Save button
Viewing Production Deadlines
Once you have set production deadlines for some or all of your manufactures, you'll see them appear on your Manufacture list view.
If the manufacture status is not Completed and the date is in the past, you'll see an overdue icon appear next to your production deadline date.
Exporting Production Deadlines
The Production Deadline field is included in the manufacture CSV export. This allows you to track and manage deadlines outside of Craftybase easily.
Configuring Default Status for Auto-Manufactures
You can configure the default status of an auto-manufacture when it is automatically created. This feature is useful for workflows where manufacture orders are created based on received orders, indicating what needs to be manufactured.
To configure the default status:
- From the Account Settings page
- Ensure that the "Auto-Manufacture When an Order is Created" option is enabled.
Set the default status under "Default Production Status". Use the dropdown menu to select from Not Started, Work In Progress, or Completed.
The Default Status can be set regardless of whether auto-manufacturing from orders is enabled. If a user selects the default status but doesn’t use auto-manufacture, it won’t have any effect.
