Accounting for tools and equipment

Our Expenses feature is being renamed to Purchases from 21 June 2023. More details

Tools and equipment that are not consumed in order to create your products can be entered as an overhead cost using the default category of Tools & Equipment (or a custom category of your choosing).

This will be tallied as an indirect cost and not included in your inventory valuation or COGS.

Optionally, you can also create a non-inventoriable material for the purposes of tracking specific details about the tool - this can then be associated directly with a purchase to provide you with your complete purchase history.
