Accounting for tools and equipment

Tools and equipment that are not consumed to create your products can be entered as an overhead cost using the default category of Tools & Equipment (or a custom category of your choosing).

This will be tallied as an indirect cost and not included in your inventory valuation or COGS.

Optionally, you can also create a non-inventoriable material to track specific details about the tool - this can then be associated directly with a purchase to provide you with your complete purchase history.
