Handling shipping and postage paid on orders
Although you may charge very accurate amounts to cover postage on your Orders, your actual costs incurred in shipping and packing can differ from this amount. To ensure you accurately track how much you spend in postage, it is important to log both shipping charged and shipping paid amounts.
To log how much you charged the customer to ship their order, ensure you have filled out the “Shipping” field on the Order (How do I add shipping charges for an Order?)
To log actual postage expenses, create a new Purchase and ensure the category is set to “Postage.”
