Add, edit, or remove variation attributes

Adding an attribute

To add a new Variation Attribute for a product:

1. Navigate to the Product you wish to add the attribute for

2. Click the Variations tab

   

3. On the page that appears, click the Manage Attributes button.

   

4. This is your variation attributes page. From here, click the Add Variation Attribute button.

   

5. On the form that appears, set the Name for the attribute. This will be a word that describes the grouping of option values, like "Size" or "Color."
6. Under the Values table, enter the name of your first value in the textbox, then click the Add Value button. This will add it to the table. Repeat Step 6 until you have your full list of available options (you can always add more later). An option will typically be something like "Blue" or "Red" if your attribute is "Color."

7. Click the Save button to save the new attribute.

   

Change an attribute

To edit a Variation Attribute:

1. Go to your product page
2. Click the Variations tab
3. On the page that appears, click the Manage Attributes button

4. Click the pencil icon to the right of the attribute you wish to change

   

5. On the page that appears, click the Edit button in the top right-hand corner.

   

Remove an attribute

To remove an attribute, you'll want to merge it with another attribute within the same product. This action will remove the old attribute, and move all values under the attribute to the new one. Everything associated with these values will also be moved to the new attribute and variation combinations.

Remove a value from an attribute.

To remove a value from an attribute, you'll want to merge it into another value within the same attribute. This action will remove the old value and move anything associated with this value to the new attribute for you automatically.

Change a value for an attribute.

To edit a Variation Attribute Value :

1. Navigate to your Variations page within your Product by selecting the Variations tab
2. Select the Manage Attributes button in the upper right corner of your page.

3. On the page that appears, click the Edit button.

   

4. From here, click the edit button to the right of the Value you wish to edit.

5. Make your changes, and then click the Save button to confirm.

   
   

Add a new value to an existing attribute.

To add a new value to an existing attribute (i.e., adding "Purple" to your Color attribute):

1. Navigate to the Variation Attributes page for the product for which you wish to add the attribute value. ( How do I find my Product Variation Attributes page?)

2. Select the attribute name to which you wish to add a value, and click the Edit button.

   

3. Enter the new value to the Values list on the form that appears.

   

4. Click Add Value.
5. Click the Save button to confirm the changes.
