About manufacture expiry dates

If your product batch has an expiration date, you can optionally record it as part of your manufacture. This allows you to track when specific batches will expire and plan your stock rotation accordingly.

Expiry date tracking is available in our Indie+ plans.

To set an expiry date for a manufacture batch:

  1. Navigate to the Add Manufacture form
  2. Click the Additional Details (Optional)
  3. Scroll to the field called Expiry Date. Then, select the date on which the batch expires from the chooser.

  4. Click the Save Manufacture button.

Adding an expiry date is completely optional - if you don’t need to track expiration for this batch, you can simply leave the field blank. However, entering an expiry date can be useful for:

  • Identifying batches that are nearing expiration
  • Managing FIFO/FEFO workflows
  • Ensuring older stock is sold or used first
  • Maintaining quality control and compliance where required
