What is a Starting Adjustment?

Starting Adjustments are stock adjustments that are automatically created for all materials, products and variations in the system. They represent the stock amount and value you had on hand of this item on the date you started tracking your inventory in Craftybase.

As such, Starting Adjustments are used specifically for situations where you wish to bring stock levels and values forward from your previous inventory tracking system. For considerations on how to handle the initial backdating of your product and material stock, please see our detailed blog post:  How to Backdate your stock on Craftybase.

You don't need to set a date for your starting adjustment, this is assumed automatically to be before all other dated stock adjustments that are made.
