Searching materials

You have several options to search your materials; you can use them alone or in conjunction with each other, depending on what you are looking for.

In this article, we'll cover:

Keyword Searching

This is useful if you quickly try to find a specific item where you know its name.

For example, I am looking for a material with a “blue button” in the title. You can type the complete name or only a part of it – the search is powerful enough to use either to try and find your matches.

Sorting

This is handy when you want to find things like “the material with the smallest price” or “the material with the most stock to hand.” You can use this in conjunction with keyword searching as above.

Filtering

Filtering is great when you need to quickly find a subset of your materials – for example, if you need to find all your materials categorized as “buttons.” Again, you can use this alongside the search so that you can filter a search like “green” to include only the items that you have classified as “buttons.”
